Both are acceptable. Dropping the -agh at the end is the same with the word for day - latha, you can simply drop the -tha and use là. There are probably a few more words that do this. It doesn't change the pronunciation so there is no need for the letters that are being omitted.

I know the difference between aig and air. I have no idea why I am confusing the two. I shouldn't be making mistakes like that.

Stupid mistake using ort instead of agad but can I ask why beagan is going before Gàidhlig and not after it?

I was sitting writing in Gaelic and tried to write the word runner. I realised I have no idea what it should be so I checked out how to form occupations from verbs or nouns.
