Unvoiced vs devoiced

I thought I saw this on the Akerbeltz site, but I can't find it now.

Supposedly there's a difference (presumably subtle) between unvoiced consonants and devoiced consonants.

Can anyone tell me what it is?

Can anyone tell my why this is Gaelic for "Lindsay"?

It seems to be the only Gaelic surname that is neither a tr*nsl*t**n nor phonetic near-match to the English version.

Alas.

I like the band, and this is first time they've recorded with lyrics in Gaelic (as opposed to tunes with titles in Gaelic).

Good? OK? I think his Gaelic is learned though his Doric is natural enough.
