But a seòl adair is a sail or and there's no such thing as a music or , so the neologous form isn't great really. Why should we care that English chose -ian for people making music rather than -or? If you do an English to Gaelic suffix search for %cian on AFB, you get a wild mix of -(ad)air, -(a)ic...

Omission of the definite article before a role or title

Well, if your local council is "Comhairle Ghlaschu", the resolution of the puzzle is that "Comhairle" is not allowed to have an article, because it is followed by another noun. This has nothing to do with tone, it is a hard grammar rule.
