Fàilte/Hello

Unread post by cognativechaos »

Feasgar math/Good afternoon, another new member looking to get some much needed practice as I learn.

I'm currently using Internet sources (learngaelic.scot lessons/dictionary and BBC Radio nan Gàidheal broadcasts) along with the book Gaelic in Twelve Weeks. Other than that, I am very much a base beginner learning in a vacuum.

Please, feel free to correct my spelling and grammar. When learning my second language, little to no corrections were given at home and I am still trying to break bad grammar habits. I also gladly accept suggestions on better ways to say things, idioms that work better in the native language, and jokes or puns. :priob:

Agus bhuamsa! And from me too! :D

Do start with a few very simple posts in the bilingual section. Practice is essential, otherwise your Gaelic remains passive, theoretical. Make mistakes and learn from them! :mhoire:
