Halò
Is mise Tom. Tha mi a fuireach ann an BAC ann an Èirinn. Thosaich mi ag ionnsachadh Gaidhlig o chionn sia seachdain le Beag air Bheag. A-nois tha mi ag lorg caraid canain. Chan eil Gaidhlig mhath agam ach tha mi ag iarraidh feabhas a chur oirre.

Má tá aon duine ann (atá ag foghlaim Gaeilge) atá ag iarraidh malartú le Gaeilge a fhoghlaim liom, bheadh sin togha (sgoinneil)
If anyone (who is learning Irish) and wants to do an exchange whereby they speak Irish with me, that would be wonderful.
Tom

One of the options available to SMO students studying for diplomas or degrees (as far as I know - it certainly once was) is Irish language for one semester.

I can imagine some might be glad to exchange conversation or other support.

Not quite sure how you'd get in touch with them, but worth a a mail to SMO anyway.

SMO also offer short courses for Irish speakers - it's easier not having to go through English.

And have a look at this dictionary: http://www.intergaelic.com/

Thachair mi air feadhainn na h-Èireannaich a bha a' dèanamh a' chùrsa goirid sin as t-samhradh seo chaidh. Tha mi a' smaoineachadh gun do chòrd e riutha agus gun do rinn iad glè mhath anns an tìde a bh' aca (nas fheàrr na sinne aig an robh Beurla a-mhàin co-dhiù)

I met a few of the Irish that were doing that course last summer. I reckon they enjoyed it and that they did really well in the time they had (better than us that only had English anyway).
