Diminutives in Scottish Gaelic

Unread post by LD Dirker »

Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to form diminutives in the language, but I can't find any reliable sources online.
Can anyone please send me a link where I can learn more about this?

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated.

:-)

Gaelic doesn't really have productive ways of making diminutives any more. -(e)ag and -(e)an used to, -(e)ag still sort of does but it'd be downright weird to talk of a *coimpiutaireag. You basically have to stick on adjectives, beag bìodach being top of the list.
