Quick Pronunciation

I'm trying to ascertain the correct pronunciation of the word for 'heather' - Fraoch. Unfortunatley it seems I'm getting a lot of Irish variations but not Gaelic. It's basically the 'ao' combination that's throwing me off in Gaelic (I'm more familiar with the Irish pronunciation).

You'll find fraoch pronounced here. This is Lewis dialect.

The IPA symbol for this sound is an upside-down m [??]. You pronounce it like a long [u?], but it's unrounded - this means with straightened lips. Another unround sound is e.g. . Pull your lips into a grinning shape rather than a kissing shape.

If you don't know what to do with your lips, use a mirror and say oo ee and you'll see the difference.
