See, I googled like crazy, and wasn't happy with it (but no idea why) but guessed it would be easier just to write it and hope that someone else could correct me. I nearly used an s but I don't know why.

Thank you!

Tha mise as An t-Sron Reamhar, agus a-nis tha mi a Lunnainn
I am from Stranraer, and now I live in London.

Correct me if I got anything wrong. Still got my learning hat on.

Glè mhath a Jadeykins!

An t-Sròn Reamhar = the Fat Nose. Great name for a town :D

I live in London = Tha mi a' fuireach ann an Lunnainn. Literally: "I am living in London".
I'm from London = Tha mi à Lunnainn.

Remember the accents. You can get them by clicking the little horseshoe icon Ω in the edit panel.

I’ll try something extra ...

Tha sibh a' dèanamh glè mhath! :moladh:

Don't be shy of posting even if you make mistakes. You can't learn to walk without falling down a few times or learn the pipes without scaring away the neighbours at first. Same goes for languages ;)

Tha mi às a' Ghearasdan - the article lenites in the prepositional/dative case

Thill mi a dh'Inbhir Narann - you use dhan if you have an article: dhan Eaglais Bhric. a otherwise: a Ghlaschu

Tha mi toilichte a bhith

Maybe I should write something about myself now:

Tha mi às a' Ghearmailt, ach tha mi a' fuireach ann an Alba a-nis.
I am from Germany, but I live in Scotland now.

Bu toil leam fuireach ann am Baile...

ann an assimilates to the first consonant in the following word. So, you get ann am with b, p, f, m

fuirich is the verb, fuireach the verbal noun.

Dh'àraich mi is "I brought up", to say "I was brought up" you have to turn it into passive: dh'àraicheadh mi. But as far as I know the usual expression for "I grew up/was brought up (in)" is the shorter thogadh mi (ann an)....

I have also heard Chaidh m' àrach, but Thogadh mi is more common, methinks.
