it's actually good to see the original too, and compare the changes, side by side.
Good idea, thanks.

I know it's been a while since I've been on here. Today I finally got round to ordering one of your crew neck Alba jumpers from your shop :D Hope that goes some way towards payment for all your help. No doubt I'll have some more questions soon anyway.

Fhuair mi an geansaidh. Tha e gle bha. Mòran taing!

(I got/received the jumper. It is very good. Many thanks!)....not sure if this is correct, but I think 'fhuair mi' means 'I got/received' as it's an irregular verb.

That's correct, but you mixed up mhath ("good" lenited) with bha ("was"). Beware of random websites - there are a bunch out there that have "Slàinte bha" as a phrase on them which is completely wrong, and they all copied the mistake from each other. Some of those sites also mix Irish with Scottish Gaelic.

Thanks for the correction - yeh I know I need to improve my spelling in Scottish Gaelic. It's often the simplest/most common things that trip people up :P I think in this case I made the mistake because 'mhath' and 'bha' are more or less pronounced the same, right?

Yes, the only difference in pronunciation is that mhath is nasal, you don't really hear the final th. People often mix up bh and mh, I just wanted to make sure that you didn't fall a victim to one of these well-meaning but harmful sites.
