Did you drive through the countryside, iolair? I haven't been to New England for a long time, but I have family there and I want to go again. It is so beautiful. ... I am working at the fisheries museum this morning. I am a bit ill today so I want to rest. I like to work on Gaelic on the garden on lovely days like these.

Yes. We drive around the area almost every weekend. We usually take short trips (around an hour or two). We really like looking at the trees and the hills and everything. It is really beautiful here in the summer.

Awesome! We don't have a car, but I often travel on the bus. I am tired and a little sick today, but I will be better soon. I am excited because there is a festival in Pittenweem. It is famous! There are many festivals here in the summer.

We're a very heavy band and the type of music we play is often associated with violence and anger. Although the association is a little farfetched, it holds some truth.
My vocals are generally heavy, harsh vocals; grunted vocals. The technique produces a sound I can't quite explain.
In the choruses of some of our songs I do sing 'normally', or cleanly, which is what you're probably more used to.

I am at work now, but I am thinking about something I read yesterday. I read a story in the WHFP, and I learned a new word, and that is "gànrachadh". The word means "making dirty". The author was talking about chemicals in food.
I am happy to be learning new words.

Bha mi a' leughadh Litir do Luchd-ionnsachaid sa mhadainn an-diugh. Dh'ionnsaich mi facal ùr: feòrag. Tha sin facal feumail dhomh, far a bheil mi a' fuireach, air sgath 's gu bheil am facal a' ciallachadh "squirrel" agus tha mòran de fheòrag ann timcheall air an taigh againne.

I was reading Litir do Luchd-ionnsachaidh this morning. I learned a new word: feòrag. That's a useful word for me, where I live, because the word means "squirrel" and there are a lot of squirrels around our house.

Tha sinn a' seopadaireachd an-diugh, ach 's beag orm i. 'S toil leam a bhith còmhla ri mo theaghlach, ach cha toil leam a' seopadaireachd an aodaich. Uill, tha i deatamach... 's docha cha bhi i cho dona an-diugh.

I like learning new words too. I am writing a composition about last year, my gap year. I learn a lot of new words on Am Faclair Beag. I like squirrels. There are not many here. What is your favourite word in Gaelic? [not sure on that question formation] ... We are going shopping today, but I don't like it. I like being with my family, but I don't like clothes shopping. Well, it is necessary... maybe it won't be so bad today.
