Ma tha sibh a’ gabhail pàirt ann an cùrsa no tachartas gus sgilean Gàidhlig a thogail no na sgilean Gàidhlig a th’ agaibh a leasachadh tro iomairtean ionnsachaidh airson inbhich, feuch gun lìon sibh an ceisteachan againn a chaidh fhoillseachadh an-diugh. Feumaidh freagairtean a bhith a-staigh ron 7mh Samhain.

/ Welcome to the census looking at adult learners of Gaelic. The text used in this survey is in both Gaelic and English with the Gaelic text shown in purple. To help with accessibility, the different languages are separated with a /.

/ Chaidh Bòrd na Gàidhlig a stèidheachadh fo Achd na Gàidhlig (Alba) 2005 mar a’ bhuidheann ris a bheil e an urra inbhe na Gàidhlig a ghleidheadh mar chànan oifigeil ann an Alba, aig a bheil co-ionnanachd spèis leis a’ Bheurla.
/ The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 (the Act) established Bòrd na Gàidhlig (the Bòrd) as the organisation responsible for securing the status of Gaelic as an official language of Scotland, commanding equal respect to the English language.

/ Mar phàirt de na dleastanasan aca, tha aig a’ Bhòrd ri Plana Cànain Nàiseanta Gàidhlig fhoillseachadh, agus sa phlana sin tha foghlam seach-sgoile air aithneachadh mar raon-leasachaidh air a bheil prìomhachas.
/ As part of their responsibilities, the Bòrd are required to publish a National Gaelic Language Plan and in that plan, post-school education is recognised as one of the priority development areas.

/ Thathar ag obair an-dràsta gus ro-innleachd nàiseanta a dhealbh airson Gàidhlig do dh’inbhich. / Work is currently underway to develop a national strategy for Gaelic adult learning. The Bòrd have commissioned Liz Taylor at Tkm Consulting to conduct this census to help inform development of the strategy and gather more accurate data relating to adult learners in Scotland.
