Hello everyone,

I am currently writing a novel that is set in the Highlands.
Since I don't have any skills in Scottish Gaelic I kindly ask for your help to tr*nsl*t* the following into Gaelic:

"Inverness proudly supports Alan Smith - Independence for Scotland"

It would be really great if someone could help me with this. I don't want to use Google tr*nsl*t*r, because from experience I know that it probably won't be correct and I want this to be authentical.

Excellent idea not to use Google - their English - Gaelic results are pretty unintelligible.

Is it common that people's names are translated as well?
Would it be weird if the sentence were like this: Tha Inbhir Nis a' toirt taic ri Alan Smith le moit ?

It's very common to tr*nsl*t* names if they have a Gaelic equivalent, and Alan is a Gaelic name.

I'd like to write it in gaelic language. Can anyone help me?

As above, I want it to be authenthic expressions, so I don't want to use google tr*nsl*t**n. I would be really grateful, if anyone could help me with it.

Maybe there are other expressions spicific for gaelic?

Of course I will! But I don't know if I will find anthing like this, so I just wanted to be prepared.
