Hallo agus bliadhna mhath ùr!

Unread post by Wilsons-of-Oxford »

Hallo! Ciamar a tha sibh? Is mise Jason Wilson, tha mi fiureach an Norfolk, Virginia. Tha mi toilichte bi eòlach air sibh.

Hello! How are you all? I am Jason Wilson, I live in Norfolk, Virginia. I am pleased to know you (I hope is what I said).

I started learning Gàidhlig last year with Slige nan Gaidheal in Seattle. I wasn't able to do much and now I've moved from the area. I'm hoping to make 2012 the year my wife and I learn and that we can teach our children ( aged 4 and 1) as well.

I've started going through TAIC and I hope to be able to improve through 'conversation' here. That said, please let me know when I've butchered the language as I'm sure I have above. :mhoire:

Tapadh leibh!

Ha ha, Chan e! I was hoping gioragach meant excited, I see it can mean skittish too.

'S e, tha mi seoladair. At least I was. I just finished a ship based assignment, now they've given me command of a desk for a few years.

Thinking I was supposed to have said " 'S e seoladair a th' annam" rather than "tha mi seoladair" back there.

Well pleased to meet you, hope to be able to speak more Gaelic with you soon.

Well done, keep going, keep using your bits of Gaelic, don't worry about mistakes, A few of us mods still make some too :-)
