Fòram na Gàidhlig

Is there a construction in Gaelic that uses spòrs or craic or another word to express enjoying oneself? I did look up adjectives for 'enjoyable' etc. but it's hard to gauge what's the most common way to express this in Gaelic by just using the dictionary and grammar book.

This would be easier if you gave us the full phrase

Enjoying oneself, so like, 'We had fun' and if that's different from 'the party was fun (enjoyable)'. Would you say, for example, that craic is on you, at you, etc? Or perhaps spòrs, or perhaps a verb?

Well, the reason I was asking for the full phrase is that... it depends. There's no 1 to 1 expression that covers all those that English 'enjoyable/enjoyed' covers. Here are some suggestions though:

chòrd e rinn = we enjoyed that
bha plòigh a' dol ann = we had lots of fun (there)
bha spòrs againn = we had fun
bha sinn ri dibhearsan = we were having a bit of fun
bha deagh-chraic ann = that was good fun

In the one with a' dol, is that part of it because you went somewhere or is it part of the full phrase of enjoying? With this I'm asking, if you wanted to say 'We had lots of fun writing' would you substitute a' sgrìobhadh for a' dol or would that interrupt the integrity of the full idiom?
