Mo chuislean versus mo chuisle

In the part of the saying 'Blood of my veins, bone of my bone...' (Is tu fuil o mo chuislean, is tu cnaimh de mo chnaimh) Why in 'Is tu fuil o mo chuislean.' would you use the noun 'cuislean' and not 'cuisle'?

I would really appreciate if someone can help me out with this. I've been scratching my head over it all day.

No worries, it can be a bit confusing, since -an can be both a diminutive (pronounced /an/) and a plural ending (pronounced /ən/).
