Needing advice

So I have a new Amazon Kindle, and I'd like to see a Gaidhlig name on it, but I'm having a little trouble. I'd like it to say in a nut shell "Mairghread's Kindle" The only help I could find was Lesson 14 on "Taic", and I could simply copy what it says and use "a leabhar fhèi...

Re: Why the doubles?

Well, exactly my point. The Gaidhlig bits came straight from the lessons I'm taking see Here in exercise 1. http://taic.me.uk/pdf/Lesson6.PDF And sorry, I'm still having a bit of trouble getting past vs present tense through my head. I know what they are and what the difference is, but I almost alwa...

Why the doubles?

Okay, So I'm having a bit of trouble figuring this out. These examples come from the "Taic" Lessons. Bha ròn ann air à Chladach The seal is in on the shore (my literal tr*nsl*t**n) Chan eil uisge ann anns an t-srut There is no water in in the stream (my literal) I've had several example wh...

Thanks!

And no, I had one year of Spanish in school, enough to where what you say makes sense.

Yeah, I knew it was there, I just couldn't type it...

And The dictionary I used must have rolled them both into one with the "EI" So "It" is just gender specific then? He vs she.

Really? That's the next town over from me!

I think it's gorgeous. To me it's no wonder the Scots decided to settle here.

Re: Halo From Tennessee

Yes I do, I typed in all the info it asked for (lots of dictionary use lol!) And hit send, or submit, and it simply said the page could not load. I can go back and get it all for sure, but that was the gist of it. And thanks! That's one reason I'm here. I'm getting pretty good at writing what little...

Re: What Made You Want To Learn Gàidhlig?

Well, for me it's a long story. First off my heritage is nearly a clean split between Scottish and Irish So I flip flopped back and forth between the two for a long time. Not really learning anything, just trying to figure out which one TOO learn! Well in this past year the younger sister of a frien...

Halo From Tennessee

Hi all! Wow... did activation ever take forever! But anyhoo, I'm a 20 yo gaidhlig student from Tennessee. Currently I'm in self study using the "Taic" online lessons. Learning by myself is pretty difficult so I'm hoping to be able to get some help here along the way. Thanks a million! Megan
