Ciamar a tha an t-sìde / How's the weather?

'S buidhe dhut ! Feumaidh mi dòigh a lorg gus a bhith a' fuireach ann an Alba, is cinnteach. A bharrachd air sin... tha Gàidhlig ann an siud ! Tha an t-uisge ann an seo mu dheireadh thall. Lucky you ! I have to find a way to live in Scotland, that's for sure. Moreover, there is Gaelic there! It is f...

Ciamar a tha an t-sìde / How's the weather?

Tha an t-sìde air a bhith uabhasach teth o chionn ghoirid. Làithean cho bruthainneach ! Bha mi nam fhallas is air mo losgadh (chan eil a’ ghrian a’ tighinn rium). Ged nach eil i fionnar idir, tha i fada nas fheàrr a-nis: blàth do chuid ach fhathast ro theth dhomhsa. The weather has been incredibly h...

Comunn Gàidhlig na h-Eilbheis / Gaelic Association of Switzerland

Tha dithis againn às an Eilbheis deònach air Comunn Gàidhlig na h-Eilbheis a chruthachadh. Gun ìre seo cha do rinn sinn càil ach bidh tachartasan ann anns an Eilbheis am bliadhna (Irish Openair Toggenburg, Scottish Colours ann an Winthertur, no Mànran a' cluich ann an Aarburg), 's dòcha gum faod...

fòrum-leughaidh / reading forum

Chunnaic mi gun robh Comhairle nan Leabhraichean dìreach air fòrum-leughaidh a chruthachadh. Tha e airson leughadairean Gàidhlig aig ìre sam bith.

Dè tha thu a' dèanamh? / What are you doing?

Tha fios agam a-nis dè an leabhar a bhios mi a' leughadh ann an aithghearrachd! 'S e an aon fhoillsichear a th' ann gu dearbh. Tha mi a' smaoineachadh gu bheil iad coltach ri chèile cuideachd. I know now which book I will be reading soon! It is the same publisher indeed. I think they are similar too...

Dè tha thu a' dèanamh? / What are you doing?

Tha mi mar cheist air dè an ath leabhar a dh'fheuchas mi ri leughadh ann an Gàidhlig. Tha mi beagan leisg nuair a tha mi a' leughadh agus cha toil leam a bhith a' rannsachadh cus fhacal san fhaclair. Sgeulachdan goirid 's dòcha... ? I am wondering what is the next book I will try to read in Gaelic. ...

An Eilbheis. Mòran taing poor_mouse !

Air Disathairne bha an t-sìde grianach ach an-diugh tha i fliuch agus sgòthach a-rithist.
The weather was sunny on Saturday, but today it is wet and cloudy again.

Caite bheil thu a' fuireach ann an Alba a Fhaoileag ?
Where do you live in Scotland, Faoileag ?

Tapadh leat a Ghun Chleoc ! Tha Frangach agam ach tha mi ag ionnsachadh Gearmailtis. I'll take a look at your book ! In fact, I've recently found a book I really appreciate : Scottish Gaelic : level 1/ Muriel Fisher.

A Dhuglas, I think I'll join you for a try on November the 10th.

Re: Group Skype for beginners

Tha thu ceart.
Tha e aig ochd uaireann (Alba) air Là na Sàbaid, a bheil sin ceart ?
I'll not be able come this Sunday. However, my level is one of a complete beginner as I don't know yet how to build my own sentences. I just know a few words and expressions.

Re: Group Skype for beginners

Feasgar math ! I had a look at "An Litir Beag" and it is indeed too difficult for me. I've only had a few Gaelic lessons and it seems that I haven't yet enough vocabulary and grammar. So, I think I'll try to follow regularly "An Litir Beag" and when I'll feel that I could make so...

Re: Group Skype for beginners

Thank you for everything, that helps a lot ! Actually, I've recently started private lessons on Skype (I had tried to learn Gaelic on my own years ago but I had given up), however that is true that there isn't any possibility to practice Gaelic where I live. Many people don't even know it exists. So...
