Pine (tree): giuthas vs guisachan

I'm reading a book on trees that contends that "guisachan = pine in Gaelic". I happen to believe that giuthas is the Gaelic for pine. Clearly guisachan is related to pine, but can anyone explain what guisachan actually means, or how it's derived from giuthas?

Neither, in fact. We would say 'S toil leis an fhiaclair..."

Thanks all! Ciamar a tha ag radh "The penny drops"? My course notes (An Cùrsa Inntrigidh at SMO) don't say anything about the distinction between ’S toil le and ’S toil leis with regard to the article, so that's very helpful indeed. A conversation on the course contains the following line ...
