Most of them seem pretty clear (ea to i, ia to èi, etc). I'm just confused with the monosyllabic words containing broad vowels; how do you know which rule to apply when? Cas, long, làmh, and tòn are all monosyllabic nouns with a broad vowel yet one rule applies to the first two, and another rule to ...

So I just encountered slenderisation for the first time and I'm a little confused about one thing; a' chas -> air a' chois vs. an làmh -> air an làimh Surely there is a rule as to when the broad vowel changes and when you simply add an i, but either it's been omitted from the TAIC lesson or I've sim...

English mother tongue, French second language (I'm also from Montreal), and I'm actually just starting to learn Gàidhlig. Been at it only a week or so. Nevertheless, I'm finding more similarities with French than I am with English.

C'est bien ça, oui. En passant, j'ai trouvé que le gaélique a en fait plusieurs similarités avec le français. Plus qu'avec l'anglais, au moins.

I'm from Montreal, Canada and just started learning Gàidhlig via 'Beag air Bheag' a few days ago. 'fraid I won't be able to say anything interesting just yet, but I'm working on it :)
