Well, one of the best known MacLeans hereabouts is Roddy MacLean, writer and author of Litir-do-Luchd-Ionnsachaidh. He writes his name Ruairidh MacIlleathain.

New computer, no accents
I've just bought a new computer with Windows 7. I had no trouble with the accents required for Gaelic on my old computer, but I can' t recall how I went about getting them. All I had to do was hit the " tilde" key before a vowel and the vowel would appear with an accent. Any suggestions as...

Noticed this in Alasdair's sig: <i>Innis dhomh ma nì mi mearachdan, mas e ur toil e.</i> Shouldn't that be the relative future -- ie <i>ma deanas</i> or <i>ma nìtheas</I>? No, "ma ni mi" is correct. See examples in both Owen's and MacAlpine's dictionaries.
