Well, I suppose in this context the olive trees/groves are so important for livelihoods that they do take on a sort of sacred role! I'm limited to 140 characters, so will see if I've got room for 'naomh'.

Mòran taing. Just wondered about "naomh" - is it used there to emphasise the importance of olive trees to communities, rather than their "saintliness/holiness"?

Ciamar a chanas mi "olive groves" anns a Ghàidhlig? olive tree = crann-ola clump of trees, grove = doire or sacred tree/grove = bile So.... bilan crainn-ola? doireachan chrainn-ola? (Tha mi a' sgrìobhadh Twitter sgeulachd airson Fèis Leabhraichean Inbhir Narainn - ma bhios ùidh agaibh, tho...

Tha mi ag obair ann an oifis - ann an 'workers co-operative' (cho-chomunn…?). Tha mi a' dèanamh larach lin, margaideachd agus 'sales' (reiceadaireachd?).
