Re: Random Writing
OK re-reading this a bit--you say "air iarraidh"; how does this differ from "ag"? As I look at that, I see something like, "on wanting"--I think I need to seriously work on verb tenses. '-D

Re: Random Writing
Wouldn't the whole "ag iarraidh tack be merely saying, they "want to save"? I was kind of specifically trying to state they were on a mission; so would "cionn" be the wrong term for that then? Admittedly, grammar is definitely an area I need to work on. '-)

Random Writing
Just thought I'd post this random few sentences of narration I came up with over lunch, based on my current gaming venture. (Yeah I admit it--I'm a gaming geek.) Anyway I'd welcome any corrections to my grammar. '-D Keldin tha bàrd Sibhreach, agus tadhail e le coig càch. Tha iad air cionn airson sàb...

'S e tidsear choimpiutairan airson sluagh dall a th' annam.
(I teach computers to blind people.)
Or should I be pluralizing "dall"?
Tha mi ag iarraidh *voice actor* a th' annam, ach chan eil ùine foghnaidh agam airson *auditions*.

Tapadh leibh! Tha mi ag ionnsachadh "Beag air Beag" agus will give "Speaking our Language" a try if the visuals aren't too critical (I'm visually impaired, so scenes where they hold up an object and say, "Seo ..." probably wouldn't work too well for me. But I'm going to...

Skype Practice?
Hello everyone,
I'd be interested in making some connections for practicing speaking as I have yet to encounter any Gaelic speakers here in Anchorage. If anyone's interested, my skype ID is landrasphaelan.
Tapeadh leibh,
Terrence

Correspondence Courses?
Hallo a'chairdean, Does anyone know if there are any correspondence courses in Gaelic? I know there are several sources of lessons online--but I'm in search of something a little more interactive as I'm not in a position to go out of town for anything (which I'd have to do for a live course). Tapead...

Re: Fàilte! Welcome new learners!
Tapadh leibh a-Fhaoileag! Nice to know there's at least one other Alaskan Gaelic speaker out there! '-D I'm going to check out some of the links that show up on the board index and some podcasts I have heard of for speaking practice. Doesn't beat actually talking to someone but it's a start anyway.

Re: Fàilte! Welcome new learners!
Madainn/Feasgar mhath a Gh`aidhlig 2012! Is mise Terrence, agus tha mi a fuireach an Alaska. Chan eil m`or g`aidhlig an seo; tha mi ag ionsachachd na G`aidhlig ann an internet. OK, that's about as far as I've managed to get. This is my nth attempt; hopefully having a group of us all learning togethe...
