There are also Gaelic YouTube videos which you can download straight to your computer if you install this: http://fastesttube.kwizzu.com/

Here's a nice version of Runrig's Alba for the launch of BBC Alba http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs07sYQqc1c

Re: What Made You Want To Learn Gàidhlig?

I was born in Australia, and so was my Mother. She feels Australian through and through. I don't, not at all. I feel like I was transplanted. Since I was six I felt like I was stuck on one hellishly long holiday in Australia and I was desperate for it to be over so I could go home to Scotland. I use...

That's a great idea! I hope some one comes along who takes those trains. I certainly wish I did.

Re: Speaking to a One Year Old

I’m not trying to teach him Gaelic at this point, I’ll send him to a GME school for that when he’s older. Tapadh leibh GunChleoc. Much appreciated on the endearments!

I didn't actually mean body parts with the other words, but the words of the function to urinate, have urinated etc. As in when explaining to a toddler that they should sit on the potty to urinate, rather than on daddy's shoe.

Speaking to a One Year Old

I am in Uganda, Ear-Afraga, learning Gàidhlig by myself and the only person I have to converse with is my just turned one year old, Ruairidh. I need help with some words, I've tried dictionaries but I'm not having a lot of luck, as the words are odd. Here goes, in Gàidhlig what do you say to a very ...
