Re: Ceistean

Ciamar a tha sibh ag ràdh "MacAlpins Dream" anns a' Ghàidhlig?

aisling aig MacAilpein?

***

Sorry, not entirely sure how to turn MacAilpein into the genitive, since it already ends in a slender vowel, and I've not seen Mhac used before.

Re: Ceistean

Tapadh leibh. I was using the sentence structures I have learned (thus far) and we haven't even encountered the word bho and its various forms in my course yet. So, I was totally winging it. I wasn't even sure of how to use ràinig , as I found it in the dictionary for arrived , along with words such...

Re: Ceistean

mean something like "'S i cnag na cùise a th' innte", i.e. with the "thing" (cnag) and the "owner" (a' chùis) being two separate entities? These would be examples: 'S e leabhar (thing) Seumais (owner) a th' ann. 'S e bùth-èisg (thing) Moraig (owner) a th' innte. (thing) being an object and (owner) ...

Re: Ceistean

Seo ceist eile: I have homework to do whereby we have a list of things both masculine and feminine, and a list of proper nouns and we have to write out one of the following sentences: 'S e (thing) (owner) a th' innte; or 'S e (thing) (owner) a th' ann. I know that sentence ending is innte for the fe...
