Re: Group Skype for beginners
'S mise Zack, agus 's mise neach-toiseachaidh cuideachd, ach tha mi a' smaoineachadh gu bheil mi ag iarriadh a dh'fheuchainn seo. Leughaidh mi "Litir do Luch-ionnsachaidh", agus èistidh mi iad cuideachd, mar sin chan eil mi a' smaoineachadh gum bi "An Litir Bheag" ro chruaidh... ...

First Gaelic Book?
I'm looking to get some sort of fairly-simple chapter book in Gaelic to work on my reading comprehension. A little challenging is better than a little easy, as I can always trudge through it with my dictionary. Do any of you have suggestions of what to get and where to get it? Thanks.

Re: Correct a Beginner's First Composition?
I haven't worked at gaelic much over the past couple months do to exams and the like, but have gotten back at it again and I was wondering if any of you could correct some sentences I've tried to put together spontaneously, in conversation: Ciamar a dhèanamh thu air an deuchainn agad? How did you do...

Correct a Beginner's First Composition?
I started teaching myself Gaelic with any spare time I had a couple weeks ago. I've started with the book "Colloquial Scottish Gaelic". Anyways, I was stuck by a SmartBoard today with nothing to do, so I figured I'd try and write some things out :D . I used a dictionary to find the verb fo...

Re: Frequency List?
No, I suppose it's not.
The idea behind it though is that the one or two thousand most common words in a language will make up ~75% of everything said, read, and written. This is what I've read, anyways. I've no real idea where I should start in way of vocabulary and this seemed to make sense.

Frequency List?
I'm not sure if this is the right section, but it seemed most fitting so I went with it. I apologize if I've erred. Anyways, do any of you guys know where I might find a frequency list? I've begun memorizing vocab, and it would be nice to know the most frequently-used words in Gaelic so that I can b...

Hi
Hi! I'm Zack, I'm 16, I live in Ontario, and I'm going to learn Gaelic. I've wanted to learn a language for a couple years now, and just recently, with the new year and all, decided to actually do it. I chose Gaelic mostly because I have a Scots friend who wants to learn it, and I figured it'd be ve...
