Fàilte chridheil ort!

I'm sure you'll do just fine - making mistakes and butchering the language is part of the learning process. Been there, done that and still doing it

I am GunChleoc and I'm from Germany. I started learning Gaelic at the end of 2005.

Duilich, ach thàinig sin air m'aire! Thoisich mise Gàidhlig ionnsachadh aig an aon àm. Thoisich mo bhean 's mo charaid as fheàrr cuideachd, ach cha do mhair iad idir!!!

'nis, chan eil mi a' bruidhinn cail ri mo nighean ach Gàidhlig aig an taigh 's chan eil mo bhean bochd a' tuigsinn! Mi-fhortunach, ach tha mi cinnteach gun togaidh i beagan gu deònach no nach eil air chionns gum bi e do-dhèante a bhith na cluais aice a chumail duinte a-chaoidh!

Tha i ag iarraidh Gàidhlig ionnsachadh, ach chan eil misneachd gu leòr aice. Tha mi 'n dochas gun tig sin....

Dà bhliadhna ro lorg mi aite seo :(

Bha mi traing le ruidegin eile: obair, marcaichachd each agam, etc.

Feumaidh mi faclair gu sgriobh mòran, no leugh cuideachd.

Chan eil mi cinnteach gu bheil cò as a bha mo luchd-duchtha, ach tha sloinnidhean Gàidhlig aig mo athair 's mo mhathair. Chaigh mo luchd gu America Tuath ro 1800. Bha mo sinn-sinn-sinn(?)-seanair aig mathair as a Eirinn Tuath, ach tha mi a smaonichadh gu bheil e Albannach a tha'ann.

Hello to everyone.
I am half Scottish and unfortunately I do not speak a word of Gaelic but it fascinates me. I am just looking to soak up some atmosphere from time to time. I will try not to be a pain and ask too many questions.
Thanks
Sprocket!

I used to post on the old SG foram. I was formally known as Mrs. Muir. I am afraid I haven't progressed, so hope I can still keep trying:). I have a lot to learn.

Càit a bheil "PA" (no dè tha "PA" anns a chiad àite)? Duilich chan eil mi eòlach air ainmean na stàidean.

(Where and what is "PA"? Sorry, don't know about state names)

Chan eil mi eòlach air na Stàitean, ach 's dòcha gur e "Tir Cinn Coille" a th' ann, no "Pennsylvania"

Tha Pennsylvania an stàit ris an canar "An Stàit na Cloiche-ghlasaidh."
