Nach eil fhios aig duine sam bith? 'S bochd sin...

Agus seo an ceist ùr agam (seallaibh an-seo)
Comataidh nan Ath-Chuingean
Seo "Public Petitions Committee"; ach chan eil (tha?) san Fhaclair Bheag ach "athchuinge".
Ma tha "ath-chuinge" ceart cuideachd, 's dòcha gum feum e air a chur san Fhaclair Bheag, nach fheum?

Leugh mi seo
BBC: Naidheachdan wrote:...gu bheil Riaghaltas Bhreatainn a' cuir deuchainn...

Chaidh Mìcheal Adebowale a chuir fo chasaid muirt a-raoir.

Chaidh an duine... a chuir an greim ann an Glaschu...

...gum faodadh iad fhathast cìsean oideachaidh a chuir air oileanaich à sgìrean eile de Bhreatainn...
agus chan eil mi cinnteach a bheilear "chuir" a' cleachdadh ceàrr ceithir turas no a bheil mi air mo mhealladh?

Tha ath-chuinge cearr, 's e fused compound a th' ann, sin as adhbhar gu bheil an /ɯi/ ann an chuinge air crìonadh 'na /ɪ/.

"Agus biadhaichidh a h-uile buidheann eile a tha sin a-steach dhan t-Sabhal Mhòr," thuirt e.
Dè tha "biadhaich" a' ciallachadh?
Chan urrainn dhomh sin a lorg san Fhaclair Bheag, ach 's dòcha gum biodh iad a-mach air "bait, lure, attraction".
Nach eil iad ag ràdh gum b' fheàrr leis na buidhean eile tighinn a-steach san obair seo, gum bi iad ag iarraidh a bhidh ag obair còmhla ris an t-Sabhail Mhòir?
"lure", "attract" -- sin e. Tha e coltach gu bheil e a-mach air an t-Shabhail Mhòir agus gun do bhuan a h-uile buidhinn san sgìre air sgàths an t-Sabhail. (bha an "lure" a' toirt stuth a-steach do na buidheanan). Agus gun do bhuan an Sabhal bho soirbheachas nan buidheannan gu lèir. "Synergy" mar a chanas 'ad san t-Seann Greagais!

"Gun"... tha mi a' creidsinn gur e "gus an do" an brìgh air seo.

(Cha mhòr nach do leugh mi an teachdaireachd idir... b' fheàrr nan robh thu a' toiseachadh sreath ùr airson ceisteanan ùra ach nach bi càil air a chall....)

Glè mhath! 'S e sin math don Fhaclair Bheag, ach 's bochd sin airson Naidheachdan BhBC. :(

Mòran taing, a Nèil!
Cha eagal orm gum bi cus sreathan agam ma bhios mi an tòiseachadh airson gach ceist... :naire:

'S e "cur/chur" a bu chòir a bhith ann. Tachraidh a' mhearachd sgrìobhaidh seo gu tric.

Agus carson a tha "gun" ann an-seo: "Ach cha chreid mise, nuair a thogras an leithid air adhart agus gun tòisich an Sabhal Mòr an seo..."
Tha e coltach ris: "cha chreid mise gun tòisich an Sabhal Mòr...", ach cha chreid mise gum biodh sin ceart. :)
Seo am prìomh sheantans:

Ach cha chreid mise ... nach biadhaich sin a-steach dha na buidhnean eile a tha timcheall an eilein a tha seo.

Beachdaich air "nuair a thogras an leithid air adhart agus gun tòisich ..." mar sheantans fa leth is chan eil "ach" ann idir.

Ceart gu leòr, a GhunChleoc, "nuair a thogras an leithid air adhart agus gun tòisich ..." -- ach dè tha "gun" a' ciallachadh an-seo?

When such-like (an leithid) be willing forward... -- gabh mo leisgeul, that's not the proper English; but further: that will begin (gun toisich) -- who? Or maybe not?

Chan eil mi a' tuigsinn co-chàradh... :naire:

Mar sin, "nuair a thogras iad (an leithid) gun toisich an S.M. an-seo"?
That is, they be willing S.M. to begin here, is that it?

'S dòcha gu bheil mi air tuigsinn mu dheireadh thall.
Mòran taing! :)

BBC Naidheachdan:
Dh'fheuch Nick Hancock, a bhuinneas do Ràthach, faisg air Dùn Èideann, dà thuras faighinn air a' chreig, a tha 260 mìle an iar air na h-Eileanan Siar, ach cha d'fhuair e oirre ri linn droch shualaichean.
Dh'fheuch mi "sualaichean" no rudan mar sin fhaighinn san Fhaclair Bheag, ach lorg mi an-sin a-mhàin

"Mo Rùn Geal Òg" le Cairistìona NicFhearghais:
...Bu bhinn leam tabhann do chuilean,
Bheireadh fuil air mac èilde;
Às do làimh bu mhòr m’ earbsa –
Gur tric a mharbh thu le chèil’ iad,
Mo rùn geal òg
A bheil i a-mach air an eilid agus a mac? An do mharbh am fear sin gu tric an eilid agus a mac-se?
