Gun article, tha mi a' ciallachadh.

A bheil thu a' bruidhinn mu shèimheachadh, agus dh' ??

(Appendix 7)

Sèimheachadh (gun alt):
a = do
de
do
fo
mu
ro
tro
bho
mar
gun (without)

a and de CAN take dh' before a vowel, but needn't. (Though GOC, I think, says that de must. )

I would just word that slightly differently. It's speaker/dialect dependent on whether do/de and the reduced form a take dh' but not freely variable i.e. if you're going to use de dh' then you should stick to that pattern.
