I cannot find where I saw this particular post but I thought it was on here. I am looking for somewhere that explains how certain words/letters are pronounced. I would like to be able to have a decent crack at pronouncing some of the gàidhlig road signs later in the year.

Most language teaching books have a section about pronunciation, such as "Gaelic in 12 weeks" (an excellent book), but the most comprehensive book on pronunciation is "Blas na Gàidhlig" by Michael Bauer (a.k.a. akerbeltz). I'd suggest going to that book's webpage at http://www.akerbeltz.eu/books.html and at the bottom of the page choose the link to the PDF "Guide_detailed_with_examples".
