Seo an sgeulachd èibhinn mu rud a thachair rinn anns an Lùnastal fhad 's a bha sinn a' dèanamh aon de turasan a' champaidh air a' bhlàr againn ann an Algonquin Park. Nach ann rinn a thacair an rud agus seo aon de na rudan craicte air an robh sinn a' tuiteam.

Seo loch. 'S e Ish-Ku-Day an t-ainm a th' air an loch seo. A rèir dha h-uile mapa tha an loch sa bheil an t-uisge ann mas fhìor. Faodaidh gum bi an lòn uile a' sìor òl an uisge. Co-dhiù airson meud nan craobhan agus nam preasan tha e coltach gun robh an loch air a bhith ann treis mhath.

Air sgàth 's gu bheil an dà mhapa againn a' taisbeanadh uisge sa loch seo agus tha Ontario Park a' saoilsinn gu bheil an t-uisge an-seo ann, ghlèidh sinn làrach airson campaidh air ceathraimh oidhche againn an turais. An dèidh dhìnn a' gabhail ar casan gu 40 cilemeatair ann an 4 latha o chionn, bha sinn glè sgìth agus feum am puicean-uisge againn a lìon agus a dhèanamh ris an uisge gu math. Ach nach robh uisge an-seo ann agus mar sin bha againn ri coiseachd gu loch a bha dà chilemeatair air ais bhon an robh sinn a' tighinn. Ma-thà bha againn ri 8 liotair uisge a ghiùlan air ais chun làrach-champaidh. Bha e spòrsail agus air an oidhche sin, bha sinn nar cadal gu math. Agus mu dheireadh thall bha sinn saorte bhon stoirm thàirnich agus phlathadh dhealanaich, ach nach bi ann ach beagan treis 's e sin sgeulachd eile a bhith.

Sa Bheurla:

This is a funny story about something that happened to us while we were on one of our backpacking trips through Algonquin Park in August. We had quite an adventure and this is one of the crazy things that we stumbled upon.

This is a lake. The name of this lake is Ish-Ku-Day. According to every map there is apparently water in it. Perhaps all of the moose keep drinking all the water? Whatever happened, due to the size of the trees it looks like the lake has been this way for while.

Because both of our maps show that there is water in this lake and Ontario Parks is under the impression that there is still water here, we reserved the campsite to spend the fourth night of our trip. After hiking 40 km in 4 days we were tired and needed to fill and treat our drinking water. But there was no water source. So we had to hike to a lake which was 2 km back from the way we came and then we had to carry the 8 L of water back to our campsite. It was fun and we sure slept well that night. And the thunder and lightning storm finally stopped but only for a little while, and that's another story.
