Hi,

A bheil abairt Ghàidhlig airson "It's a question of...", m.e. "It's a question of taste" no "It's a question of who wins the first round", mar "Il s'agit de" sa Fhraingis no "Es hängt davon ab" sa Ghearmailtis?

Is there a Gaelic expression for "It's a question of...", e.g. "It's a question of taste" or "It's a question of who wins the first round", like "Il s'agit de" in French or "Es hängt davon ab" in German?

Mòran taing / Many thanks

M

Faodhaidh tu ràdh / You can say

Tha seo an urra ri (cho doirbh 's a tha e etc) - that depends on (how difficult it is etc)

no

Tha seo an crochadh air (cò bhios ann etc) - that depends on (who will be there etc) (literally 'hanging on', as in German)

Chan eil fhios agam a bheil rudeigin nas dlùithe ann. Don't know if there's anything closer.

Nach dèanadh cùis a' chùis?
Would[n't] "cùis" do the job?

"Biodh sin na cùis eadar-eaglaisich."
"That would be an ecumencial matter."
