Seall, tha mo thòn reòite.
Look, my buttocks are frozen.
I can understand having frozen buttocks, especially 'ann an Alba' , but asking someone to look at them? Unless it's a doctor maybe.
Just trying to make learning fun, therefore memorable - not everyone's sense of humour, admittedly!
But you have now used it / written it / thought about it / told others about it, so you have thereby increased your chance of learning useful vocab, even if likely to be re-used in different contexts.
Tha sibh ceart, faoileag
You are right, faoileag.
I wasn't meaning to disparage Duolino or anyone who has contributed to it, humour is a great tool to use. Trouble is whenever I see the phrase 'Mo thòn' I get Shane McGowan's voice stuck in my head for the next few hours or to use another duolingo phrase:
Eadar mo chluas agus mo chluas eile
Between my ear and my other ear
Tha gu dearbh, Gun Chleoc!
'tha mi a' goid bonaid agus IRN BRU'
'I am stealing a bonnet and IRN BRU'
Sounds like someone has drunk too much IRN BRU (also known as mad juice) already.
Tha mi ag òl cus
Actually, how would I say too much of something?
