An seo ann an Canada, ann an Quebec, 's e latha-fèille a th'ann. Is Naomh Eoin Bastaidh prìomh naomh Quebec agus 's e latha-fèille aige a th'ann an-diugh.

Here in Canada, in Quebec, it's a holiday. St. John the Baptist (St. Jean Baptiste) is Quebec's patron saint and it's his holiday today.

An run a tha inntinneach, 's e mar a bheireas iad dìon air an cànan 's air an cultur. 'S fhada on a dh'fuirich mi ann an Quebec a-nis, ach tha sin a'toirt air na cuimhneachan a shruthadh air ais nam inntinn.

Farasta. Tha an cultur aca air e chuideachadh aig riaghaltas Chanada. Tha mionchuid fuathachadh an staid poileataiceach (oir chan eil fhios aca mu duthuichean eile mar an Alba/a'Bhreatann Bheag/A'Chòrn) , ach fo riaghaltas eile (an Fhraing no Sasainn) bitheadh an canan aca marbh, faodidh sibh bhith cinnteachd.

Facile.
