A GhunChleoc,

Mòran taing airson do cheartachaidhean. Bu choir dhomh air a bhith fios agam air "a' ràdh"!
Ged a tha i sgothach, tha i blath agus tiorram an-diugh. Tha i math gu leòr airson a bhith a-muigh.
Tha luchd-obrach a' cur craobh ùr aig an taigh againn an-diugh.

----------

GunCleoc,

Thanks for your corrections. I should have known about "a' ràdh"!
Although it is cloudy, it is warm and dry today. It is good enough for being outside.

Tha i frasach an-diugh, ach air an Tbh thathar ag ràdh gum bi i glè bhrèagha a-maireach. Tha mi an dòchas gu bheil an neach-naidheachd ceart.
Air an làimh eile tha iad ag ràdh gum bi droch shìde air an deireadh-sheachdain. Tha sin mì-fhortanach oir tha latha dheth againn DiLuain.

It is showery today, but they say on TV that tomorrow will be beautiful. I hope the news person is correct. On the other hand they say that there will be bad weather for the weekend. That is unfortunate because we have Monday off work.

Mar a gheall iad, tha e brèagha an-diugh. Thòisich an latha le beagan ceò, ach dh' fhàs e soilleir gu luath. Tha duil agam gur urrainn dhomh a chur seachad uine mhòr a-muigh as dèidh "biadh aig meadhan-latha (lunch?)".

------------------

As they promised, it is beautiful today. The day started with a little fog, but it became clear quickly. I think that I will be able to spend a long time outdoors after lunch.

Tha i frasach an-diugh, mar a bhios i gu tric san Damhair an seo. Tha na laithean a' fàs nas giorra a-nis cuideachd.

--------------------------

It is showery today, as it is often in October here. The days are getting shorter now, also.

Bha an t-uisge sa mhadainn an-seo cuideachd, ach chan eil i cho dorcha a-nis, ged nach fhada gus am bi a' ghrian a' dol fodha.
'S iad laithean goirid, dorcha agus fuar a tha romhainn gu dearbh!

It did rain in the morning, but now it's not so dark, though sunset will be soon.
Really short, dark and cold are the days before us!

Chaidh an droch shìde seachad oirnn, agus tha i brèagha a-nis. Tha mi a' sealltain a-mach air an uinneag agus tha mi a' faicinn nan craobh a' gluasad air sgath 's gu bheil beagan gaoth ann.

Tha i nas fhuaire an-diugh 's a bha i an-dè. Bha agam ri cur còta orm tràth sa mhadainn an-diugh mus do dh' fhàg mi an taigh. Chan eil i cho fuar an-dràsta.
Tha mi a' smaoineachadh gur urrainnn dhomh a' dol cuairt aig meadhan-latha gun còta.

The bad weather went past us, and it is beautiful now. I am looking out the window and I see the trees moving because there is a bit of wind.

It is colder today than yesterday. I had to put a coat on early this morning before I left the house. It isn't as cold now.
I think that I can go for a walk at midday without a coat.

Uisge, uisge, barrachd uisge, mar as àbhaist. Dh'imich mi dhan Chuimrigh tri seachdainnean air ais. Canar gu bheil sìde Albannach coltach ri.

Rain. Moved to Wales. They say Scotland's similar.

Chunnaic mi na naidheachdan mun shìde anns an Rioghachd Aonaichte - uisge gu leòr gu dearbh.
Ged a bha an t-uisge ann an seo, bha i na bu thiorraime an-seo 's bha i an sin.

'S ann mar samhradh a bha e an-dè. Bha e blàth agus griannach fad an latha. Tha e mar foghar a-rithist an-diugh, beagan nas fhuaire. Tha e fhathast griannach ach tha gaoth ann cuideachd.

--------------------

I saw the news about the UK - plenty of rain indeed.
Although it was raining here, it was drier here than there.

It was like summer yesterday. It was warm and sunny all day. It is more like autumn again today, a bit colder. It is still sunny but it is windy, too.

B' ann latha a bhith cuir glainneachan gréine oirnn fhéin a bha a-màireach, ach cha leam iad sam bith co-dhiù. Tha i gròbag dhrùchdach an-diùgh as àbhaist as t-fhogar is as t-earrach. Dh'atharraich duilleagan nan craobhan an dath agus is ann lurach a tha orra e.

Yesterday was a day to be wearing sunglasses(!), but I don't own any anyway. Today it's a wee bit drizzly which is usual in the fall and spring. The leaves changed their colour and they look splendid!

Ach tha an tuairmse sìde ag ainmeachadh air uisge ann feasgar an-diugh. Faodaidh i a bhith tais nas fhaide dhan an latha a tha snog uaireannan cuideachd.

But the forecast calls for rain this afternoon. It may be damp later which is also sometimes nice.

Chan eil an t-uisge ann an seo an-diugh. Tha i brèagha - fuar agus grianach.
Thathar ag ràdh gum bi stoirm mhòr a' tighinn an ath sheachdain, oidhche DiMàirt, tha mi a' smaoineachadh.
Tha e doirbh a ràdh aig an àm seo, ach tha e coltach gur e "hurricane" a' bhios ann an stoirm seo.

----------------------

There is no rain here today. It is beautiful - cold and sunny.
They say that a big storm is coming next week, Tuesday night, I think.
It is difficult to say now, but it is likely that this storm will be a hurricane.

Bha an t-sìde math an seo dha-rìreabh.
The weather has been really good here.

Bha e fionnar, ach grianach le adhar gorm.
It has been fresh, but sunny with a blue sky.

Is toil leam an fhoghar gu mòr.
