Glè mhath! Just a vowel switch: an-diugh.

A luchag bhochd, abair thusa gur e dealbh snog a th' agad! Ged a tha an suidheachadh dona dha na h-eòin ...
What a beautiful picture! Although the situation is bad for the birds ...

Bha an làr reòite an-diugh.
The ground was frozen today.

Mòran taing a-rithist, a ChunChleoc!

Bha am foghar glè bhlàth an-seo, ach 's dòcha gun tàinig an geamhradh mu thràth a chionn 's gu bheil i glè fhuar a-nis agus tha an t-sneachd 's a' ghaoth ann.

Feasgar math,

Bha sneachd ann an seo an-dè (mu thrì cm), agus bha e blàth an-diugh. Tha an t-sìde ag atharrachadh gu tric agus gu luath an seo anns an t-fhoghar.
Thathar ag ràdh gum bi e tioram an t-seachdain a tighinn. Tha mi an dòchas gum bi e blàth gu leòr airson obair a-muigh. Tha mi ag iarraidh solas Nolleig a chur an àirde a dh' aithghearr.

------------------------

Good evening,

There was snow yesterday (about 3 cm), and today it was warm. The weather changes often and quickly here in the autumn. They say it will be dry this week. I hope it will be warm enough for working outdoors. I want to put up the Christmas lights soon.

'S e latha an-diugh rapach a th'ann le sneach, uisge, gaoth stoirmeil, 's nuallan nan tonnan a' briseadh air an tràigh. Thanig an stoirm an- raoir as an ear-thuath. Tha mi cinnteach nach bi bàta-aiseig a' seòladh air a' chuan an-diugh, ach ma bhios i ann, tha mi gu math sona nach bi mise oirre.

Am biodh sibh a' cleachdadh "'a briseadh" no "a' pronnadh" an sin? Tapadh leibh.

gun sgeul air a' Bheurla :spors: :spors:

Tha an t-uisge ann an-seo. Mar sin chan eil i ro fhuar.

It is raining here. So, it's not too cold.

Tha e glè fhuar an-diugh. Tha e uabhasach gaothach agus sgòthach. Tha e a' cur an t-sneachda aig an taigh mo màthair.
Chan eil a' cur an t-sneachda an-seo.

It is very cold today. It is awfully windy and cloudy. It is snowing at my mother's house. It is not snowing here

aig taigh mo màthair. - in a row of nouns, only the first one can have an article. Don't worry, this does take some time to get used to.

Tha i blàth an-seo is chan eil an t-sneachd ann idir.
It is warm here and no snow at all.

Aig taigh mo mhàthar

Genitive form of the nominative màthair is màthar

Is e màthar an riochd ghinideach de mhàthair.

Uill, bha dìle anns a' ghleann ann a seo. Cha robh ach uisge ri faicinn o thaobh ri taobh thall 'sa bhos. Ach a-nise tha an talamh tioram air nochdadh a-rithist.
