Tha an t-earrach glè fhuar an-seo am bliadhna.
Bha i fliuch no sneachdach agus gaothach gus an tàinig an Cèitean; tha i grianach, ach fuar fhathast.
Tha na sràidean salach agus smùirneanach às dhèidh a' Gheamhraidh, le gainmheach sgapte air feadh nan cas-cheuman (an aghaidh tuisleachaidh air a' dheigh).
Seadh, bha cuid de ghainmheach air a sguabadh mar tha, ach cha bhi na sràidean glan gus an tig uisgeachan blàtha samhraidh.

The spring is very cold here this year.
It was wet or snowy and windy untill the May's come; it's sunny, but cold yet.
The streets are dirty and dusty after the winter, with sand scatted all over the footpaths (against the slipping/stumbling on the ice).
Yeah, some sand is already sweapt, but the streets will not be clean until the warm summer rains come.

Tha an t-sìde uabhasach math ann seo, air a' Ghàidhealtachd, an t-seachdain seo. Grianach, soilleir agus blàth, ged a tha e caran fionnar ma bhios tu ann an àite gun fhasgadh bhon ghaoth.
Ach 's toil leam a' ghaoth - tha i a' dèanamh cinnteach gum bi an t-àile a' gluasad, gum bi rudan ag atharrachadh. Bròsnaichidh i gu mòr mi, bheir i spionnadh dhomh. :-)

The weather is really good here, in the Highlands, this week. Sunny, bright and warm, though it#s a bit fresh if you're in a place with no shelter from the wind.
But I like the wind - it ensures that the air moves, that things change. It stimulates me greatly, it gives me energy.

Glè mhath! Tha thu soirbh-dhùileach gu dearbh, fhaoileag chòir!
Agus tha dùil agam gun tig an samhradh mu dheireadh thall.
:)
Good! You are really optimistic, dear faoileag!
And I hope that the summer will come after all.

The e neulach, dùmhail, bruthainneach an-seo. B' fhearr leam nan sileadh e, eadhon nan dòrtadh e.

It's cloudy, overcast, sultry here. I'd prefer rain, even a downpour.

Tha i gu math fuar an-seo; 's dòcha nach bi samhradh air tighinn idir am bliadhna. :(

It's rather cold here; perhaps the summer will not come this year at all.

Biodh i blàth mura robh gailleann ann.

It would be warm if it wasn't for the storm.

Tha an samhradh caran fuar am bliadhna, ach dh'fhàs i nas blàithe na bu bhlàithe o chionn goirid.
Thàinig mi air chèilidh an-dè air mo charaidean a tha a' fuireach air an dùthaich faisg air nan lochan beaga.
Chaidh sinn chun a' chladaich, agus eadhan snàmh dithis aca.
Ach bha na meanbh-chuileig a' mheanbh-chuileag cho paillt ann 's a tha goirteas nam chasan an-diugh! :(
Nochd na meanbh-chuileig a' mheanbh-chuileag dìreach an latha sin, cha robh iad ann roimhe sin am bliadhna idir.

The summer is rather cold this year, but it's become warmer lately.
Yesterday I came to my friends, who lives in a countryside near the small lakes.
We went to the shore, and two of them even were swimming.
But there were so many gnats that I've a pain in my legs today!
The gnats appeared just on that day, there were no gnats before it this year.

I've seen that there are 2 words for weather in Gàidhlig - 'sìde' and 'aimsir'. Is it therefore possible to say 'ciamar a tha an aimsir?' instead of 'ciamar a tha an t-sìde?' when asking 'how's the weather?'

Also, what about asking about the weather forecast, would one use the term 'tuairmse sìde', and the question 'dè tha an tuairmse sìde (an-diugh/a-màireach)?' for asking 'what's the weather forecast for today/tomorrow/this week?' etc?

Tha e fuar agus sgòthach an-seo an-diugh.

Both words are correct - take your pick :)

I'd say "dè an tuairmse sìde" without the "tha"

Tha i fuar agus grianach an-diugh.
Tha i dìreach mar gheamhradh, ach chan eil sneachd ann idir.

It's cold and sunny today.
It's just like winter, but there's no snow.

Dh'fhàs e fuar an seo cuideachd (air a' Ghàidhealtachd), agus gu math luath - abair atharrachadh bhon t-seachdain sa chaidh! Tha a' chiad shneachd air mullach nam beann as àirde.
