Meal do naidheachd, a Theddie! :D

Congratulations

A luchag, a bheil thu fhathast a' gabhail fois air an tràigh?

L, are you still relaxing on the beach?

Chan eil, tha mi air tighinn, agus tha mi ag obair a-rithist :(
Bha e fìor mhath a bhith sa Ghreug; tha i gu math fuar an-seo (san Ruis, St Petersburg), ged a tha i a' fàs nas blàithe bho latha gu latha.
'S toigh leam duileagan òga, ùra, gorm ge-tà, flùraichean agus tòiseachd an Earraich uile gu lèir.

No, I've returned, and I am working again.
To be at Greece was very good; it's rather cold here (in Russia, St-Petersburg), but it is getting warmer from day to day.
I like new, fresh green leaves though, and flowers and all the beginning of Spring.

An-seo tha an t-earrach dìreach àlainn. Ach tha sinn a' feitheamh ris an uisge. Tha an talamh cianail tioram :( . 'S dòcha leam gum bi an t-uisge ann a dh' aithghearr !
Here is the spring just wonderful. But we are waiting for rain. The earth is terribly dry. I hope that it will raining soon !

Halò, a h-uile duine. :) Cha robh mi a' sgrìobhadh anns a' Ghàidhlig, ach tha mi ga dhèanamh a-rithist a-nis. Ciamar a tha sibh? Tha mi gu math. Bha mi uabhasach thrang anns a' Chéitean agus anns an t-Òg-mhios. Bha mi a' siubhal do Shasainn dà uair. Chaidh mi do Lunnainn, do Stonehenge, do Shalisbury, dhan Chaisteal Nuadh, agus do Dhurham. Chòrd iad rium gu mòr. Théid mi dhan Ghearmailt anns an Lùnasdal. Bidh mi ag obair anns a' chathair-eaglais ann an Münster. Tha mi aig an taigh a-nis; tha mo phàrantan anns an Peru airson rannsaich. 'S e samhradh glé eadar-nàiseanta a th'ann!

Hello, everyone! I was not writing in Gaelic, but I'm doing it again now. How are you all? I am well. I was very busy in May and June. I travelled to England twice. I went to London, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Newcastle and Durham. I liked them a lot. I will go to Germany in August. I will be working in the cathedral in Münster. I am at home now; my parents are in Peru for research. It's a very international summer!

Tapadh leat! Chaidh mi dhan Ghearmailt nuair a bha mi dà dheug bhliadhna. 'S e a' chiad uair dhoimh e a bh'ann ann an dùthaich eile. Chòrd i rium gu mòr. Tha mo sheanmhair às a' Ghearmailt. Chaidh i a na Stàitean Aonaichte anns na 1950s.

Thanks! I went to Germany when I was twelve years old. It was my first time in another country. I liked Germany a lot. My grandmother is from Germany. She came to the US in the 1950s.

Halò a Mhairead,

Cordaidh Münster riut gun teagamh sam bith. Bha mi ann turas no dhà. Aon turas bha mi ann còmhla ri Gun Chleoc fhèin, gus Runrig fhaicinn - bha spòrs mòr againn! A bheil cuimhn' agad,a GhC? :D
Tha mòran oileanach agus mòran rothairean ann am Münster cuideachd. Baile brèagha!

You'll like Münster, no doubt at all. I was there a couple of times. Once I was there with Gun Chleoc herself, to see Runrig. Great fun! Do you remember, GC?
There are lots of students and lots of bicycles in Münster too. Lovely town!

Tha cuimhne agam air Münster - chòrd an turas againn rium glan glan :D

I remember Münster - I really enjoyed our trip.

'S e a' chiad turas a bha mi ann an dùthaich eile.

Thàinig i dha na Stàitean Aonaichte anns na 1950an. (I don't think you can shorten do to a if it's followed by the article)

In the "'S e a' chiad turas a bha mi ann an dùthaich eile" construction, is there no need for "a tha ann" somewhere?

'S toil gu dearbh. 'S ann uapasan a chuala mi a' Ghàidhlig a' chiad turas is cha bhiodh facal Gàidhlig unnam mura robh iad ann.

I really like them. It's from them I heard my first Gaelic and I wouldn't have a word of G if it wasn't for them.

Bha faoileag 'na cuideachadh mòr dhomh cuideachd nuair a thòisich mi air ionnsachadh.

Faoileag was also a big help to me when I started learning.

I'm learning Gaelic and I'm drinking coffee.
