"cliar" is really a company of wondering minstrels, not a single poet. The usual word for poet is "bàrd":
http://www.faclair.com/?txtSearch=poet

"mu" causes lenition: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mu#Scottish_Gaelic

Adjectives almost always follow the nouns that they qualify, certainly in the case of nationalities: http://www.taic.me.uk/leasan42.htm

So:
Tha mi a' sgrìobhadh teacsa mu bhàird Pòlainneach agus Seiceach.

Tha mi ceart gu leòr, mòran taing son faighneachd, ach cha ruigear a leas "sibh" a chur orm!
I'm fine, thanks for asking, but there's no need to call me "sibh"!

Tha mi ag éisteachd ceòl agus tha mi ag dèanamh sìon.

I'm listenning to music and I'm doing nothing.

Ok, so now correct version:

Tha mi ag èisteachd ri ceòl agus chan eil mi a' dèanamh sìon.
I'm listenning to music and I'm doing nothing.

MarcMacUilleim - Tapadh leat a-rithist!

Last wee tweak :spors:
Tha mi a' sgrìobhadh teacsa mu bhàird Pòlainneach agus Seiceach. > mu bhàird Phòlainneach is [bàird] Sheiceach
- slender-ending plural noun lenites all following adjectives ('jumping lenition').

'S e latha uabhasach fliuch is gruamach a th' againn an seo agus mar sin chan eil leisgeul idir agam a-nis gun a bhith a' dèanamh sgioblachaidh anns an fhlat agus obair-phàipeir riatanach mu dheireadh thall! :olc:

It's a horribly wet gloomy day we have here and therefore I have no excuse at all not to be tidying in the flat and doing essential paperwork at long last!

'Sgioblachadh', 's e sin facal feumail. Tha mi an dòchas nach bi mi ga chleachdadh tric ge-tà. Bha mi a' sgioblachadh an t-seòmar agamsa 'sa mhadainn seo. Cha do chòrd e rium!

'Tidying', that's a useful word. I hope that I will not use it often though. I was tidying my room this morning. I didn't enjoy it!

Chan eil mi a' sgioblachadh an-diugh, ach bidh mi a' dèanamh taigh-nigheachain. Bha mi ro thrang as ùr. Thòisich a' bhliadhna acadeimigeach agus bha mòran tachartasan ann. Thòisich na clasaichean an-dé, fa dheòigh! Tha mi a' leughadh eachdraidh a' Charlemagne agus an t-spioradalachd manaich meadhan-aoiseil.

I'm not tidying today, but I'll be doing laundry. I have been too busy lately. The academic year began and there were many events. Classes started yesterday, finally! I am studying the history of Charlemagne and the spirituality of medieval monks.

Nach bi thu dripeil! :o

Beagan ceartachaidh.

taigh-n. = laundry house, i.e. place, not activity.
nigheadaireachd - washing (activity), e.g. inneal-n - washing machine.

trang - bustling, full of activity (place, atmosphere etc) - but I fear this mis-tr*nsl*t**n (busy for people) is with us to stay.
dripeil, dìcheallach, dèanadach - busy/industrious/active (for people)

às ùr - once again, anew
sna làithean seo - recently, these days, in the last while

a' leughadh Charlemagne - - no article
agus spioradalachd mhanach m-a - plural nouns in genitive have to end broad, and lenite if indefinite. :spors: (and no 'the' before the previous noun)

Okay, my teacher grew up speaking Gaelic in Harris and is about 70 and she uses trang for people, so I'm assuming it's just standard usage now!

Thanks for the corrections!
