Eadar-theangachadh, a dhuine sam bith?

Unread post by faoileag » Wed May 06, 2009 3:45 pm

Cothrom-obrach nach d'fhuair ar caraidean Gàidhlig aig Cainnt, Sollas, Cànan etc :(

Dear Sirs,

We are a tr*nsl*t**n/interpreting agency based in Scotland.

We have recently won a contract for provision of Scottish Gaelic tr*nsl*t**n and interpreting and we are looking for freelance Gaelic speakers who might be interested to register with us. We pay professional rates.

I would be grateful if you could send us your CV if interested, or if you could pass on this message to anyone who might be interested.

Best Regards,

Joao Madeira

Tha sin a' ciallachadh nach robh luchd-eadar-theangachaidh (gu leòr, co-dhiù) aig Globalglasgow aig àm na tairgse fhèin. Abair iongnadh...

A bheil 'Gaelic speakers' uile comasach air eadar-theangachadh gu math, no sgrìobhadh gu math agus gu freagarrach? Chan eil, mo bheachdsa. ('S e an aon rud a th' ann an 'luchd-teagaisg' aig a bheil an cànan fhèin ach aig nach eil dòigh-obrach teagaisg sam bith.
Dè a' Ghàdhlig air 'popular misconception'? :olc:

Agus dè a th' ann an 'professional rates'?

Ma tha ùidhe (no comas) aig duine sam bith an seo, 's dòcha gur e sin ceist as fhiach chur.

(Agus dè thachair do'interested in ...ing'?)

Seo mearachd gu math cùmanta airson luchd na Laidinn, agus tha ainm Portagaileach air an té seo....

Agus mar 's tric, bidh daoine ag eadar-theangachadh don cànan fhéin....

Tha mi a' creidsinn gu bheil "Joao" a' ciallachadh "Iain". Dh'fheumadh fios a bhith agamsa!

Mar a thachras, chunnaic mi seo air Aghaidhleabhar (no "facebook"). Bha mi a smaoineachadh "agus fhuair sibhse an contract gun luchd-obraich airson a deliveradh" (mar a chanas a-nis - cha toil leam "deliver")

Chan eil sin quite ceart - sin e:

Tha thu ceart a Jhoão

- far a bheil an "Jh" ga ràdh mar "dh" ann an "dhà"...

Och uill, 's dòcha gur e. A bheil thu ag ràdh gur e mar J Fhrangais a tha e seach mar J Bheurla?

Halò,

'S urrainn dhomh daingneachadh gur e ainm fireann a tha ann an João.

Cha tuirt duine sam bith nach robh.
Tha e air seimheachadh an siud air sgàths gu bheil e 'sa "vocative case" -- seo far nach eil an ainm na fior part den seantans... chan eil e a' gràdh ach có leis a bheil thu a' bruidhinn....
