I have been very grateful for help received on various queries here, and wonder whether I might be useful to someone in return. One of the learning sources I have been using is Complete Gaelic (Teach Yourself). This is useful, but I found the need for a more detailed index. So for my own use I have compiled one which I find very helpful, although it's a bit rough and ready! If anyone else is using this book and would like the index for reference, please ask, and I will post it on the forum. The edition I use is from 2010, so there may be variations in page numbers etc. for other editions.

I think many people would find that useful, a bhodaich. It's used on lots of courses, and in self-study.

There was such a thing around a few years ago for a much earlier edition, but a more up to date one would be a very useful resource. :D

It's a good book. I think its strength lies in its focus on conversational Gaelic around particular themes rather than as a reference, which is maybe why it doesn't have the deepest indexing.

If you've not got it, I'd recommend "Scottish Gaelic in 12 Weeks" as a companion. It's more of a grammar reference (with a few dialogues and exercises thrown in), so it's more intuitive to flick through and look up specific things. It's my go-to for that kind of thing anyway.

Mòran taing.
In view of these responses I will post the index as promised. Thanks for the tip about the companion book, which sounds useful.
