Gaelic TV Lessons

Unread post by IvoCarog »

I found these 2 TV programmes for Gaelic learners:

Can Seo, a show from the 1970s teaching Gaelic:

Speaking Our Language, Gaelic Learners programme presented by Rhoda MacDonald.:

Personally, I am not a big fan of this way of learning but maybe somebody will find them useful.

Hi Ivo, they've been posted before. They are popular with those new to Gaelic, or those without other ways to learn the pronunciation in context.

Any way people choose to learn is OK by my, if it suits them and gets them hooked on Gaelic. :-)

Thanks for re-posting them - it' been a while since the last time.

If you can get BBC Alba (if you're not in the UK, you need a UK-based proxy server on your computer), they are re-showing the Speaking Our Language programmes.

The BBC also has other Gaelic language-learning programmes and services, again only via a proxy server if youare outside the UK:

Tha BBC site is very useful, especially for beginners. I played Colin & Cumberland a lot, and you might want to check out Beag air Bheag and An Litir Bheag. And of course you can listen to the radio :D
