Pupils taught in Gaelic perform better than their English-taught peers when reading and writing in English, a study has found.
Academics at Edinburgh University also found Gaelic-taught pupils performed just as well in science and maths, demonstrating they were not disadvantaged by learning in another language.............

Aidh, tha tòrr bhriseadh dùil ann nuair a chluinneas tu clann "fileantaich" ag ràdh rudan mar:

"No! Tha e aig mise."
"Dè tha an essay airson?"
"Chan eil mi a' dol a."

...ach 's ann nas fheàrr na na thachras uaireanan sa Chuimrigh, m.e. "What are you doing at egwyl?" (Dè bhios tu a' dèanamh aig àm an fhois?). Sin e, bhiodh iad a' bruidhinn Beurla fiù ' s anns an sgoil Chuimris.

Naidheachdan ma 'se do thoil the. Chan e naidheachdan a th'ann an seo- tha a mhorchuid de duine eolach gum bithidh cànan eile a cuideachadh le do chiad chànan (taobh a-muigh na dùthchannan anglophone gun teagamh).
