Viewer numbers up for BBC Alba...

I have always wondered exactly how they measure viewing figures, but this has to be good news...

Tha mi direach air tilleadh bho shaor-laithean ann an Eirinn, bha mi bruidhinn le fear a Contae an Chláir agus thuirt e rium gum bi a cheile daonnan a toirt suil air BBC Alba. Tha freeview aca thall an sin cuideachd. Thuirt e rium cuideachd gun robh e ceart co math ri TNAG aca.

I'm just back from holidays in Ireland, I was speaking to a man in County Clare and he told me that his wife is always having a look at BBC Alba. They have freeview there too. He said to me that it was just as good as their Gaelic Channel.

The documentaries are excellent especially the one on Fergie Macdonald.

As well as the documentaries, I really like the fact they show Peppa Pig, Postman Pat, etc on BBC Alba. I know I'm 19, but as a beginner it is good to watch children's programs because they use a much simpler language. Speaking our Language is also of course, very good.

'S toil leamsa Seonaidh! Ach chan eil BBC Alba cho math ri BBC 4 (mar as àbhaist). Seanailean na h-Èireann - cha toil leam iadsan - cus sanasachd.

Aa lurv Shorn the Sheep! But BBC Alba ain't as good as BBC 4 (usually). Irish channels - I don't like em - too much advertising.
