Am faod mi cuir ceist oirbh, dè seòrsa leann?
May I ask you a question, what kind (of) beer?
An seòrsa leann as fhearr leam: fuar no an-asgaidh.
The kind of beer I prefer is: cold or free.

ag ionnsaich -> ag ionnsachadh
mathair, athair 's seanmhair aig mo bhean -> màthair, athair 's seanmhair mo mhnatha
airson cèilidh seo (="for this ceilidh") -> airson cèilidh an-seo
mi fhortanach -> mì-fhortanach
am faod mi cuir ceist oirbh -> am faod mi ceist a chur oirbh

In some circumstances, among which is the use of "faodaidh / chan fhaod / am faod" and "feumaidh / chan fheum / am feum" you use the word order auxilliary verb + subject + object + a + lenited verbal noun. (Or auxilliary verb + subject + unlenited verbal noun, if there is no object.)
Faodaidh mi coiseachd. I can walk.
Faodaidh mi an t-astar sin a choiseachd. I can walk that distance.
Feumaidh thu brìbeadh. You must bribe.
Feumaidh thu am britheamh a bhrìbeadh. You must bribe the judge.
(Better don't, though.)
The exception is words beginning with a vowel or an f, where you drop the a to make it easier to pronounce.
Faodaidh sinn òl. We can drink.
Faodaidh sinn fìon òl. We can drink wine.
'S e do bheatha!
You're welcome!

Another exception is with the verb "dol".
Faodaidh tu a dhol ann. You may go there.
Am faod mi a dhol a-mach a-nochd? May I go out tonight?

I've written a long explanation all about this here (scroll down slowly for the various sections):

Inversion, verbs of movement etc

Tha mi ag òl cupa Hershey's-seòclaid teth.
I'm drinking a cup of hot Hershey's chocolate.
I've been studying up more on my Gaelic. Doing my best, as always.
I'm not sure where Hershey's would go in the above sentence.

Re: Dè tha thu a' dèanamh? / What are you doing?
A couple of sentences which made it clear for me were:
Tha mi a' bleoghainn na bà.
(I am)(at milking-verbal noun)(of the cow-genetive)
Tha mi ag iarraidh a' bhò a bhleoghainn
(I am)(at asking/wanting-verbal noun)(the cow-feminine nominative)(to milk-lenited verbal noun)
I think your sentence is correct but I don't know the genetive of Hershey's-seòclaid

Re: Dè tha thu a' dèanamh? / What are you doing?
Faodaidh e a bhith "Tha mi ag òl cupa seòclaid an Hershey's" (nom + gen), nach faod???
Or cupa na seòclaid le Hershey ???
Or, if without an article -- sipmly cupa seòclaid (nominative, ma tha) + le/de(n) Hershey ???
Chan eil fhios agam gu dearbh

Teòclaid is often used as the "standard" term now.

Chanainnsa
cupa teòclaid Hershey.
Nam biodh ainm Gàidhlig ann, bhiodh an tuiseal ginideach agus sèimheachadh ann: teòclaid MhicAoidh (c.f. Dùthaich MhicAoidh)
'S dòcha teòclaid Chadbury cuideachd...

Nise, tha mi ag òl uisge beatha bho Chànada. S e ''VO'' gu bheil mi ag òl. Càit'' a bheil mo charaidean Chànadach? Nach e cho fuar
gu ri ''VO'' ann? Tha gradh agam oirbh co dhiu.
Now, I am (at) drinking Whiskey from Canada. It is ''VO'' that I'm drinking. Where are my Canadian friends? Is it not so cold
that ''VO' is in there? I love you all anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that

Is toil leam an t-òran, mòran taing!
