Làn Ghàidhlig

Hi,

I read earlier a description of a person as being "làn Ghàidhlig", which was translated as having "lots of Gaelic". Given that "Gàidhlig", like all languages is feminine, isn't it just "Gàidhlig(e)" in the genitive, with or without definite article?

Or is it because it's a proper noun and behaving like Ard Sgoil Phortrigh?

Gàidhlig operates both as a noun and an adjective.

Yes, I know that, but how does that apply here? "làn" is an adjective, not a feminine noun...

You can prefix làn- to a noun like you can prefix droch- or deagh-.
