Cha robh mi ann am Florida a-riamh. Tha mi toilichte gun robh àm sònraichte agaibh!
I have never been to Florida. I am glad you had a special time.

Chaidh mi air ais dhan oilthigh am bliadhna sa chaidh agus tha mi aig an oilthigh a-nis. Tha an oilthigh glè sàraichte oir chan eil clasaichean gàidhlig ann. Theid mi ear gu Alba-Nuadh air sgath ionnsaich gàidhlig, tha mi'n dòchas!
Hopefully I wrote something along the lines of:
I went back to university last year and i'm at university right now. It's terribly boring because there aren't any gaelic classes. I will hopefully go to nova scotia to learn gaelic

Rinn thu math - well done!
glè ràsanach (
tha an oilthigh glè shàraichte would mean the Uni was bored, rather than you)
thèid mi an/gu/ri ear - you need the article or a preposition
air sgàth ionnsachadh na Gàidhlig - literally "on [for the] sake of learning of the Gaelic"
mi 'n - with a space, it's a shortened form of
tha mi [ann] an dòchas ("I'm in hoping")

Aon latha anns a' Mhaìrt, chaidh mi fhìn agus mo bhanacharaid gu New York City.
One day in March, myself and my friend went to New York City
Ghabh sinn trèan bho Bhaltimore aig 7:30 sa mhadainn, is ràinig sinn ann an NY Penn Station aig 10:40.
We took a train from Baltimore at 7:30 in the morning, and we arrived in New York Penn Station at 10:40.
Nuair a bha sinn ann, chunnaic sinn an Empire State Building, Rockerfeller Plaza agus an Chrysler Building.
When we were there, we saw the Empire State Building, Rockerfeller Plaza and the Chrysler Building.
Choisich sinn air "5th Avenue" bho Rathad 31 gu Rathad 60. Bha mo chàsan goirt!
We walked on 5th Avenue from 31st Street to 60th Street. My feet were sore!
Ghabh sinn biadh ann an taigh-bìdh faisg air Times Square.
We took some food in a restaurant near Times Square
Feasgar, dh' fhalbh sinn bho Penn Station aig 8:00, agus ràinig sinn air ais ann am Baltimore aig 11:15.
In the evening, we left from Penn Station at 8:00 and arrived back in Baltimore at 11:15
Bha sinn glè sgith, ach bha an latha sgoinneil!
We were very tired, but it was an awesome day!
(I thought about trying to figure out Gaelic equivalents of the various places, but I'd probably just get them *really* wrong!)
Edited because I can't spell "Chrysler", apparently.

Tha mi toilichte gun do chòrd an turas seo riubh, ged a bha sibh sgìth aig deireadh an latha!
I'm glad you enjoyed this tour, although you were tired at the end of the day!
Rinn tu glè mhath! Rud no dhà:
anns a' Mhàrt
ràinig sinn NY Penn Station
dh' fhalbh sinn bho Phenn Station
thill sinn gu Baltimore / ràinig sinn Baltimore a-rithist
Leaving place names in other countries as they are is perfectly fine

Chaid mi a Caolas na Kotzebue an-uiridh. Sheòl mi bàta muir-eòlas.
I went to Kotzebue Sound last year. I navigated a hydrography ship.

Question: An do chòrd > answer: Chòrd! (Like : A bheil...? > Tha!)
Past tense of 's toil is Bu toil
Bu toil leam e... - I liked it.
'S e deagh chothrom a bh' agad! - It's a fine opportunity you had!
