Here? Well, i think it is wet and mild tonight.

Dè mu dheidhinn?

ach chan eil gaothan mòra ann... fhathast. Tha 'weather warning' ann ge-tà.

Agus 'tha mi a' smaoineachadh gu bheil i fluich' an àite 'tha mi smaoinich tha i fluich'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SpRK35AbtY

Mar a thoirt mi, chan eil sin ro uabhasach ann an dùthaich seo, ach an-diugh thuair sinn nas motha na sin. Bha mi ag obair air tulpaist mo pharantan madainn an-diugh.

Tha mi à California a Deas - cha toil leam sneachd. Tha mi "wimp." :P

I'm from Southern California - I don't really like snow. I'm a wimp.

Bha i fluich 's goathach an-raoir, ach bha i grianach 's blàth an-duigh. A-nochd, tha i beagan fuar, ach chan eil i ro ghrànda. Mar as trice, tha an t-sìde na Geamhradh snog an-seo. Ach an Samhradh...

It was wet and windy last night, but today was sunny and warm. Tonight, it's a little cold, but it's not too bad. Mostly, the winter weather is nice here. But the summer....

A bit of spelling:

Mar a thuirt mi

fhuair - you do pronounce it thuair though, it's an exception

fliuch, an-diugh

grànnda

A bit of grammar:

'S e wimp a th' annam - with nouns you say "it is X that is in Y"

That is a lot of snow!

Here, it is cloudy with some rain. Tonight it will be wet and cold again. Typical Scotland!

My grandmother, who lives on the Isle of Bute said it was calm and dry where she was. Here, now, it is wet ... we had hail earlier!

anns an Eilean Bhoid
"pàiteach" means "Thirst/partched". You use tioram for "warm"
bha clachan-meallain againn na bu tràithe - "na bu tràithe" is "earlier".

A-nis, tha i ciùin agus sgòthach a-rithist... Abair boring.
Now, it is calm and cloudy... How boring.

A-nochd, bith e fuar is dòcha...

In Alva we had hail earlier - It hurt my face.
Now it is warm and sunny... Where is the rain and wind?
Tonight it will probably be cold...

Is dòcha gum bhiodh "Chuir e m' aodann goirt..." nas fhèarr? :smaoin:

Canar gur ann mar sin a tha e ann an Alba as àbhaist

Mura bhios an t-sìde a' còrdadh riut - dèan feitheamh airson còig mionaidean :P

Glè ghaothar an-diugh. 30-40 mph. Tha mi a' fuireach san bhruthach taobh nam beanntan, air chor 's i nas miosa a tha ann a' ghaoth an-seo.

Very gusty today. 30-40 mph. I live in the foothills next to the mountains, so the wind is worse here.
