Tha e nas fheàrr an diugh. Tha latha breagha ann agus tha a grian a'dèarrsadh.
It's better today, it's a beautiful day an the sun is shining

"tha a' ghrian a' dearrsadh", tha mi a' smaoineachadh...
Tha mi toilichte a' cluinntinn gu bheil i nas fheàrr anns an àite agad an diugh!
Ach tha i dorcha agus fliuch an-seo fhathast.
I'm glad to hear that the weather is better today in your place!
But it's dark and wet here yet.

Mòran taing!
Bha an abairt agam dìreach eadar dà rud ceart agus cha robh i ceart gu dearbh
My phrase was just between two correct things and it wasn't correct of course.

Am Faclair Beag omits these, because vowels are long before rr+consonant anyway.
Just make sure the accent isn't on the e, because then the pronunciation would be an or [ia] or something like that instead of an [a], like in brèagha, dèanamh.

Macfarlane's and my old printed Dwelly's gives dèarrsadh and McBain gives deàrrsadh and so does Colin Mark. Online Dwelly's says dearrsadh. I have also been taught that the double rr would make the srac redundant anyway as the a would be long by default. Is Macfarlane wrong or has the word changed in pronunciation over the years as is the case with some other words .
Dèarrsadh would make both vowels long, wouldn't it ?
Dè ur beachd ?

Anns an dol seachad, there is a similar sounding word, without a stràc, dearrsach, which is from Uist and is still in use with the meaning "heavy rain".
And so, you get the idiom: Ghabh e dearrsach - which means, he "drank a lot (of alcoholic beverages!)".

Tha an seo an t-sìde theth agus thioram. Cuideachd, tha i an seo a-nochd.
An do chan sin mi ceart?
Did I even say that right?

Bha i teth agus tioram an-dè ach tha an tuisge ann an-diugh.
It was hot and dry yesterday but it is raining today
It is easier for us if you include a tr*nsl*t**n, so we know what you wanted to say.
You did very well

, here's some grammar points for you:
- sìde theth, but tha an t-sìde teth. You need to do grammar things with "hot" when you say something like "hot weather", but not when you say some thing like "the weather is hot" - it then just stays as it is.
Tha an t-sìde teth is tioram an seo.
- place and time go to the end of a sentence, so I moved an seo.
And another bit of word order:
An do chan mi seo gu ceart. ceart = correct, gu ceart = correctly.

Tha mi duilich.
Tapadh leat, a-rithist.
I'm sorry.
Thank you, again.
I'll do my best to remember the grammar and word order.
