I'm a bit unsure about the article rules, but you do use it a lot more than in English. And language names go with the article a lot.

I wouldn't say this sentence like that anyway.

Tha Gàidhlig agam or Tha a' Ghàidhlig agam = I can speak Gaelic (ability)
Is urrainn dhuibh bruidhinn sa Ghàidhlig = You may speak Gaelic (politeness)

*checks dictionary* I learned the word as "gràmair", but you can also say "gràmar". So, leis a' ghàmar is OK as well.

It's the dative/posessive case - tuiseal tabhartach.

Mòran taing, tha mi a' tuigsinn a-nis. -- I do understand now.

Gu mì-fhortanach, chan urrain dhomh bruidhinn sa Gàidhlig gu dearbh -- Unfortunately, I cannot really speak Gealic.
Or:
Chan eil Gàidhlig agam gu leòr -- I cannot speak Gealic enough/really.
Maybe so?
Chan eil Gàidhlig mhath agam -- My Gealic is not good.

Tha mi a' smaoineachadh gur urrain dhuibh mo chuideachadh leis a' ghràmar -- I think that you can help me with grammar.

Chan eil Gàidhlig gu leòr agam.

The other sentences are correct.

It was beautiful and I went on a small walk.

It's colder today than it was yesterday; I didn't go for a walk today al all, only went home from the ofice.

You need an irregular past tense (faic > chunniac /am faca?) and the 'inversion' contruction, which you may not have had yet.

Chan fhaca mi e, ach leugh mi an leabhar. Tha "The Eagle of the Ninth" air an leabhar agus chòrd e rium glan.

I didn't see it, but I read the book. The book is called "The Eagle of the Ninth" and I really liked it.

Ah, there is so much to learn! but part of what attracts me to the Gàidhlig is how different it is!
Thanks for helping me with my grammatically atrocious attempts.. I have heard it is better to try and fail many times than not to try at all.
