Tha mi a' deasachadh a dh'obair air sgrìobhadh Arabach is Pearsach.

I'm getting ready to work on Arabic and Persian script.

'S e seo rud taitneach mu ionnsachadh a' Ghàidhlig--chan eil aig duine ri sgrìobhadh ùr ionnsachadh.

This is a nice thing about learning Gaelic--one does not have to learn a new script.

A bheil sin cho ceart ris "b' e am fear a b' fhèarr"?

Is it as correct as...?

'S e gu dhearbh! Tha an aibidil Laidinneach seo deagh charaid againn, snog agus furasda! :)

It's really! The Latin alphabet is our good friend, nice and easy!

Chuir thu dìreach iongnadh orm leis na gnìomhan Arabach is Pearsach agad!

You just astonished me with your Arabic and Persian deeds!

Feumaidh tu cantainn / you have to say a b' fheàrr. The s inn nas/as is the verb is and has to be in the same tense as the rest of the sentence.

Tha mi a' deasachadh obair air /a bhith ag obair air ...

Tha an aibidil Laidinneach seo na dheagh charaid againn / 'S e deagh charaid againn a th' anns an aibidil Laidinneach seo

Seadh. 'S e gòraiche a th' innte. Sàr-ghòraiche. Ach tha mi a' dol air adhart leis an dà chànan seo gu slaodach, slaodach.
:priob:

Yeah. It's foolishness. Absolute foolishness. But I am progressing with these two languages very, very slowly.

Tha mi a' deasachadh obair air
:?: Are you sure about that? I thought this would follow the same construction as "Tha mi a' dol a dh'obair air."

Uill, tapadh leat. Chan eil sgrìobadh Arabach is Pearsch ro dhona. Ach dèan mi bùrach leis a' Chirilis. Obh 's obh. :mhoire: Bha agam ri chuir "stickers" Cirilise air meurchlàr a' choimpiutair agam a chionn 's gun bidh mi a' dìochuimhneachadh i daonnan.

Thanks. Arabic and Persian script are not too bad. But I make a mess with Cyrillic. Oh, my. I had to put Cyrillic stickers on my computer's keyboard because I'm always forgetting it.

O, Cirilis! Tha mi 'n dòchas gur toil leat i. Tha i fìor shnog, tha mi a' smaoineachadh... :)

Oh, Cirillic! I hope you like it. It's really nice, I believe.

???????, ????????? ???????? ??? ?? ????.

('S fheàrr leam "sibh" ann an Ruisis agus "thu" ann an Gàidhlig.)

(I prefer plural / formal "you" in Russian and singular / informal "you" in Gaelic).

Is dòcha gum b' urrainn dhut burach nas motha a chruthachadh le Cirilis is Greugais aig an aon àm :spors:
Maybe you yould create a bigger mess with Cyrillic and Greek at the same time

As they drummed into my head, this construction works only with verbs of movement, like rach, thig, ruig.

Tha mi a' dol a dh'obair ...
Thèid mi a dh'obair ...
Thàinig mi a dh'obair ...
Thig mi a dh'obair ...

Tha mi glè thraing aig an obair agam an-dràsda, oir a bha laithean-saora agam agus bha mi air falbh airson trì seachdainean.
I'm very busy with my job now, because I was absent at my leave during three weeks.

Ah bidh ceistean agam a dh'aithghearr, oir a bha mi a' dèanamh obraichean de "Teach Yourself Gaelic" anns na seachdainean seo.
However I'll ask some questions soon; because I was doing exercises of "Teach Yourself Gaelic" during these weeks.

(Please, forgive my poor English; it's not very easy for me to write bilingually!)
